Role: Agile Delivery Manager with GDS/.Gov experience)

Location: 100% Remote (WFH)

Rate: £450-475 per day OUTSIDE IR35

Term: Up to 5 Months

Start Date: 6th June

Are you an Agile Delivery Manager with .gov / GDS / Government Digital Services experience and first class communication skills able to win over difficult policy stakeholders?

Our client is a Digital Transformation Consultancy who provide resource for central government departments, in this case DfE. They have an urgent requirement for an Agile Delivery Manager. You must be able to start on 6th June and must have GDS experience!

To secure this contract you must be able to demonstrate your ability to deliver a service really focused on winning over a fairly “traditional” policy area with the benefits of a User-centered design (UCD) approach to policy design, helping make the space for the team, scoping out the work and plan a roadmap, as well as linking into some of the more advanced digital teams. The role is less focused on the delivery of digital services.

The client is undertaking a market reform process which involves developing new standards for training providers and re-accreditation of providers. This team is a new team that are using a UCD approach (testing policy ideas with users) which they have not done before. The team are experienced but internal staff have not worked in this way and need a strong Agile Delivery Manager that is able to coach them to deliver in this environment, ensure people are comfortable with what they are doing and also to support them in breaking down work and allocating it to the appropriate roles. The team are also writing policy and sector comms.

Decisions made on this project cause implications for existing services and products and the implications of this need to be understood and managed. There is also a requirement for some product management knowledge.


  • Agile Delivery Management in GDS central government / .gov environment
  • Full English fluency and confident communication, able to influence senior stakeholders
