Role: Business Analyst

Location: Hybrid

Salary: up to £50,000 plus package


  • Takes responsibility for the definition, documentation and execution of one or more small projects (Change to Service)
  • Supports and documents processes to underpin the core services
  • Capacity Management reporting and analysis
  • Own the request management ticketing queues to the agreed process and procedures, completing the relevant due diligence before assigning to the relevant fulfilment team
  • Plans, arranges and controls meetings and relations with stakeholders
  • Supporting pre-sales requests and providing consultancy services to the internal stakeholders and end customers
  • Assess situations, issues and opportunities and escalate when appropriate
  • Liaise with colleagues to ensure best practice and continual improvement in delivery of service to the business
  • Establishes productive relationships and networks at an operational level to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Supports processes in accordance with Information Security Policies

Key skills

  • Business analyst experience for an application development project or infrastructure project, delivered to (or within) a small-to-medium size company
  • Project management (Project Management Office) experience of managing projects through the different aspects of the systems development lifecycle
  • Be able to write high quality requirements documents, test plans, project plans, user guides, highlight reports and release notes
  • Demonstrates an understanding of Microsoft Excel skills such as; Pivot Tables and reporting, VLOOKUP, Data Validation and analysis
  • Highly motivated and focused individual with an organised and systematic approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills illustrating a high standard of written and verbal communication coupled with the ability to interact at all levels within an organisation
  • Demonstrates an understanding of current developments in the application of IS and is able to assimilate and interpret advice from specialists – technical or otherwise
  • An individual who is able to confidently and quickly build relationships with other parts of the business
  • Be able to drive and influence others in support and service areas to deliver to schedule
  • Understanding of IT methodologies

Desired Skills

  • Some experience of a monitoring or Privileged access management system which underpins IT service Management
  • Advanced academic background, preferably to good degree level or equivalent
  • Experience of developing best practice processes and procedures for functional area
