Position: CAD Design Draughtsman

Location: Cheshire (Initially Onsite, with Potential for Hybrid Work Arrangement)

Salary Range: £30,000 – £50,000 (Depending on Experience), Including Car Allowance and Additional Benefits

Our commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction has made us an industry leader. We’re currently looking for an experienced CAD Design Draughtsman to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create accurate foundation and planning drawings.
• Develop comprehensive working drawings for building fabrication and erection.
• Prepare precise order lists for each building project.
• Negotiate purchasing costs with suppliers and conduct regular pricing reviews.
• Collaborate with customers to interpret quotes and design requirements.
• Conduct site visits as needed to support the Drawing team.
• Offer technical guidance and assistance to customers and colleagues.
• Review colleagues’ work to ensure accuracy and prevent on-site issues.
• Facilitate the procurement of structural calculations and SER certification.
• Communicate effectively with Fabrication teams.
• Champion the Graham Heath Group Ltd brand in all interactions.
• Adhere to all Heath and Safety policies at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of two years’ CAD design experience.
• Strong knowledge of steel portal framed buildings and related materials.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Keen visual awareness and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in working with three-dimensional (3D) designs.
• Outstanding customer service abilities.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to think logistically and solve problems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong numeracy skills.
• Ability to perform well under pressure.
• Computer literacy.
• Effective conflict resolution skills.
• Self-motivated and goal-driven.
• A team player with excellent collaboration skills.
