Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Leading a team, you will be responsible for the financial health of a company. Overseeing the day to day finance activity Overseeing financial department staff in day-to-day operations.
  • Responsible for the day to day operations and management of the financial department ensuring payroll is run weekly/monthly and suppliers are paid
  • Filing quarterly VAT returns and liaising with HMRC on tax related matters
  • Prepare, review & report on monthly and annual financial results in a timely manner in line with US GAAP. Closing the month end ledgers by midday of day 2.
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded, filed, and reported
  • Completion of balance sheet reconciliations to required standard and agreed timescale.
  • Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
  • Assist in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.
  • Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports
  • Supervise and manage financial department , Motivate and lead finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback
  • Collaborate with Internal & External auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to manage spend.
  • Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports
  • Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
  • A business partner that provides financial support to the business on new projects & initiatives as the business requires.
  • Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company
  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.

Basic Requirements

  • A team player who is motivated to succeed as a team and independently.
  • Qualified with 2 years PQE as a minimum (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Intermediate/advanced excel knowledge
  • Experienced with multiple finance systems, familiarity with NetSuite would be nice to have but not essential.
  • Ability to use your own initiative and work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Good time management, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
