Job Title: IT Support Technician (2nd Line)

Salary: £35k + Benefits

Location: Birmingham

Job Description

  • Supporting end users on Hardware, Software and Networking issues
  • Supporting in the implementation and maintenance of the latest technologies
  • Performing diagnostic tests and troubleshooting
  • Establishing good working relationships with different departments and colleagues
  • Providing documentation and monitoring system performance
  • Managing 3rd Party vendors relating issues raised by users
  • Supporting in the completion of escalated tickets
  • Improving system efficiency and consulting with end users to provide innovative solutions


  • 1+ years’ experience in 2nd Line Support
  • Knowledge of SAN and Networking fixes
  • Knowledge of MS Desktop and system support
  • Knowledge of Database management and office applications
  • Excellent understanding on IT related hardware and software support
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong time management skills

This role is subject to SC clearance and NPPV3, you do not need to already have these however you must be able to qualify if your application is successful
