  • Role – Lead MI / BI Developer
  • Location – Remote but ideally 2 days on site in Cambridgeshire
  • Salary – £65-75k plus benefits

Reporting directly to the Head of IT, the Lead MIS / BI Developer will own and drive forward the existing Business Intelligence and reporting function within. Providing reporting and analytics solutions developed in-house utilising the existing Microsoft BI stack, to a broad range of stakeholders to meet internal and external customer needs.
The role is hands on and requires involvement across the complete development lifecycle, define requirements, and identify new opportunities and client issues, responsible for implementing end to end BI solutions to the existing customer base, in addition to promoting / demonstrating the range of BI benefits to users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands on solution delivery through code development and or configuration of Business Analytics and Reporting platform tools
  • Defines business specifications for the design and development of MI/ BI Analytics and Reporting solutions
  • Undertake Business Intelligence support, development and troubleshooting as required
  • Liaises and coordinates with resources (where applicable), including 3rd party developers, to ensure on-time, MI/ BI Analytics and Reporting solutions delivery
  • Manages the MI/ BI Analytics and Reporting solutions service, request pipeline through the whole delivery lifecycle
  • Product Owner support, interfacing with the product team internally / wider group shaping solutions to business needs.
  • Project Manages delivery, from idea inception through to release and delivery
  • Document the configuration and maintain these system documentation sets in an up-to-date state
  • Where necessary, deliver user training, assist in training the trainers and adapt end user documentation and training materials
  • CI / CD deployment of releases to the production environment
  • Monitor, Troubleshoot, Tune, Maintain and Upgrade Business Intelligence reporting based systems, advising management on any corrective actions necessary to maintain business defines system SLAs.
  • Monitor, Troubleshoot and Maintain all IT applications within the BI portfolio
  • Provide assistance and support to the other functions in accordance with business needs
  • Contribute to strategic discussions to adapt and improve the tools to meet evolving business requirements
  • Propose technical and functional improvements to systems and services
