Main duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Ownership and definition of vision and roadmap for the products and services the company provides to its Customers
  • Decision making authority for the Products created by the Software Engineering Team, ensuring that Customers and Department heads will find those Products to be fit for the intended purpose
  • Create a clear connection between the needs of Customers and the Products and Services provides to meet their needs
  • Define Product requirements, scope, deliverables, success criteria & measurement, including Customer Satisfaction levels with the Products and Services provided
  • Coordinate across business and technology functions to convert the vision into built solutions and ensure the successful delivery of business benefits
  • Capture the business requirements (outcomes) and provide documented record of the requirements including any changes required to business process flows
  • Working with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements and ‘As-Is’ and ‘To-Be’ processes, including scoping and analysis activities associated with delivery including research, experiments, specifications and modelling
  • Converting their vision into granular business requirements and developer ready user stories, and test cases suitable for use within User Acceptance Testing
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify ways to innovate and improve delivery and processes
  • Support the completion of User Acceptance Testing activities
  • Development of suitable end user documentation
  • Ensuring Products are delivered on time and budge

Requirements

Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • The application of design thinking methodologies to business process re-engineering
  • Full Product lifecycle management, from inception to evaluation of effectiveness
  • Coordination of multiple complex projects in parallel across varied business and technology teams
  • Evidence based prioritisation of Product Development Roadmaps, informed by real user feedback, aligned to overarching commercial objectives
  • Confident user of Agile / BDD methodologies (ideally software development in an E-Commerce context) and use of management tools such as JIRA & Confluence
  • The development and deployment of products in a high-volume consumer oriented eCommerce business
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with proven ability in relationship building, spanning technology and business roles
  • Capable of coaching & coordinating teams to achieve high standards of output without line management responsibility using effective influencing skills
