Role: Provisioning Assistant

Benefits: Up to £24,500 + more

Location: Manchester (Hybrid)

Job Purpose:

As a member of the provisioning team, your role entails processing new orders for a diverse range of products, sourcing necessary equipment, and handling provisioning tasks through our partner networks.

Principal Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Evaluate the ‘best price’ before procuring equipment from our suppliers.
  • Generate purchase order numbers using our procurement system.
  • Place orders for equipment required for customer orders and internal needs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely equipment orders.
  • Monitor equipment orders and confirm successful deliveries.
  • Coordinate the return of unwanted, unused, or faulty equipment.
  • Maintain effective communication with our suppliers and their escalation teams to meet service delivery deadlines.
  • Respond to phone calls within specified timeframes and achieve call targets.
  • Follow up and manage all orders, including escalations, in a timely manner.
  • Complete all pending tasks by the end of the day and provide necessary handovers for colleagues.
  • Keep the Provisioning Manager informed about escalated provisioning orders and potential issues.

  • Attention to detail, especially when dealing with customer requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Polished telephone etiquette.
  • Proficiency in accurate numeracy, written communication, and data entry.
  • Quick and logical problem-solving abilities.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Actively contribute to team efficiency and cohesion.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage time effectively for the team’s benefit.
  • Proficiency in software applications such as MS Excel (for data handling) and MS Word (for procedure and manual documentation).

Desired Skills:

  • Previous experience in an IT/Telco support managed services environment.
  • Familiarity with Gamma and Mitel systems.
