Role: Resolution Manager (Insurance Claims / Insolvency)

Salary: £79k-£88k DOE + significant benefits package

Location: Hybrid (40% onsite) – Aldgate, London

If you are an experienced Insurance Resolution Manager (Insurance Claims) and come from a Regulatory background within claims and specific experience working with Insolvency Practitioners, then I have a new opportunity for you!

In this position, you will directly support the Head of Resolution by managing complex issues & issue resolution as well as managing operational performance across the team.


  • Experience of working within the financial services industry
  • Extensive experience of managing multiple operational teams in the financial services industry
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, working to tight deadlines
  • Experience in Issue and Risk management
  • Experience in preparing reports to senior management highlighting options and recommendations
  • Must have the ability to challenge constructively and effectively and to rise above the detail
  • Strong commercial understanding and previous accountability for a budge


  • Set and review performance standards in line with governance frameworks and scheme outcomes
  • Ensure risk, critical models and controls are managed effectively across all products, control testing is effective and remediation actions implemented to agreed deadlines
  • Effectively lead the Resolution Team Managers which will include performance management (121’s, Annual Performance Reviews), development of direct reports and ensure effective operating rhythm across the Resolution teams
  • Own and deliver Continuous Improvement and act as Business Lead for transformation and change
  • Own the Resolution Board and lead on the Resolution Board for failed firms ensuring the delivery of the strategy and ensuring processes are operationalised
  • Accountable for the declaration of default for failed firms
  • Develop medium term strategy for Resolution ensuring it aligns with scheme outcomes
  • Effectively manage senior stakeholders ensuring the Resolution business area is visible and understood
  • Own and manage the capacity plan and budgets for Resolution ensuring it is adaptable to respond to future requirements
  • Responsible for all Default and related processes, ensuring the process of taking firms from pre-Default to Default Declared is managed smoothly from start to finish
  • Ensure delivery of operational KPIs, quality and compliance measures
  • Ensure the continuous identification and implementation of operational best practice through interaction with the wider team
  • Identify further opportunities for services and process improvements and lead the implementation demonstrating achievement of results e.g. business improvements, cost saving
