Support Team Leader – Applications Support
Exciting new position within a growing financial services company to lead the applications support team, while remaining hands on.
You will “keep the lights on” and lead a team of support staff (2 – 3) responsible for the day to day management, triage & resolution of live system issues. This covers critical systems including Banking, Payments, Integration, Websites and others custom developed systems
You will be hands on – including bug fixing, service transition, supporting the team technically, code reviews and mentoring talented resources. You will become the ‘go to’ person in the custom team for supporting custom applications as well as offering technical recommendations on how to approach a problem
You will be the relationship owner for many services, and ensure expert procedures are in place. You will own service transition, collaborate with technical leads and cross teams
As the Team Lead you will manage the teams deliveries and line manage, coach all direct reports. You will ensure that you and your team fully understand and comply with the organisation’s Risk Management Policies as they relate to your area of responsibility and demonstrate in your day to day work that you put customers at the heart of everything you do.
We need you to come from a hands on technical background in Applications Support including experience in complex system production release management.
You will have a broad range of technical skills in Applications Support – including basic SQL, MS SQL and ideally experience supporting applications in a financial services environment.
You will have a proven background in managing a small application support team from a technical perspective
