Role: UX Designer (Public Sector with central government GDS experience & BPSS Clearance)

Location: Fully Remote (WFH)

Rate: Up to £440 per day OUTSIDE IR35 dependent on experience and suitability

Term: 5 Month Contract (potential for extension is quite high!)

Start: 1st November

Our client are a Digital Transformation Consultancy who provide resource for digital work programmes for various central government departments.

We require an experienced, ideally BPSS cleared UX Designer (User Experience Designer) with excellent communication skills who are available by month-end to work on a BEIS / OPSS Digital Programme. To be considered you must have experience working in public sector for central government departments and therefore experience of working to Government Digital Services Guidelines (GDS) which are the guidelines governing digital applications accessed via the .gov.uk website.

  • Accessibility
  • Assisted Digital
  • Responsive Design
  • Prototyping/Wireframes
  • Dynamic prototyping (desirable not essential)
  • User Centred Design / User-Centric Design
  • Communicating and collaborating across all levels
  • Agile/Scrum/Kanban
  • UK experience ESSENTIAL
  • BPSS Security Clearance preferred. You must be able to get this clearance!
  • DBS Checked within the last 2 years. Or ability to get a clear check quickly
  • Fluent English and excellent communication skills
  • Acts on initiative – is able to think outside the box and not rely on someone feeding them requirements
  • Proactive Team player
  • Experience working Pre-discoveries and Discovery phase projects

Core Responsibilities:

  • Create user journey mapping/workflows
  • Create high/low fidelity designs
  • Create wireframes/prototypes to visualise requirements for development
  • Convery designs and interactions to technical and non-technical audience
