German SAP FICO Lead

We are currently seeking an experienced SAP FICO Lead to join a leading consulting client on an exciting 12-month contract based in Frankfurt.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior SAP Finance professional to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of SAP FICO solutions within complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP FICO workstreams across project lifecycles, from design through to deployment and support.
• Gather and analyse business requirements, translating them into effective SAP Finance and Controlling solutions.
• Configure and optimise SAP FI and CO modules in line with business needs.
• Act as the primary point of contact for Finance stakeholders and project teams.
• Lead workshops, provide functional expertise, and advise on SAP best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional SAP teams, including MM, SD, PP, and Basis.
• Support testing activities, user training, and post-go-live support.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to project governance and delivery excellence.

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive hands-on experience as an SAP FICO Consultant or SAP FICO Lead.
• Strong configuration experience across SAP FI and CO modules.
• Proven track record delivering SAP implementations or transformation projects.
• Experience working within consulting or client-facing environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent German and English (both written and spoken) is essential.
• Ability to work on-site in Frankfurt as required (approximately 40% on-site).
