Role: Dynamics 365 F&O Technical Consultant

Location: Flexible / UK-based (Hybrid)

Benefits: £44,000 – £65,500 + bonus and more

We’re looking for a technical consultant with solid experience in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) to join and exciting, growing organisation. This is a hands-on role focused on developing and supporting our D365 F&O setup, contributing to solution design, and owning technical delivery across a variety of change and support activities.

You’ll be a key part of how they evolve and maintain the platform – managing development, troubleshooting complex issues, and helping to define and implement best practices. There’s plenty of variety, and you’ll work closely with functional consultants, architects, and third-party partners to get things done right.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and support our D365 F&O environment, including integrations and extensions.
  • Create and maintain technical design documentation and knowledge-sharing content.
  • Own and resolve technical support issues, working across teams as needed.
  • Lead technical input into new projects and ensure quality delivery.
  • Help shape and improve how we manage releases, updates, and customisations.
  • Guide and support functional consultants, acting as a technical mentor when needed.
  • Present demos and contribute to user training and technical handovers.
  • Stay on top of platform updates and identify opportunities to use standard features instead of custom builds.

What we’re looking for:

  • Solid experience in D365 F&O (or AX/F&SCM), including development and technical support.
  • Strong skills in X++, C#, integrations, and Azure DevOps.
  • Comfortable working with ALM tools, version control (Git/TFS), and the D365 data model.
  • Great communicator who can work well with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Experience managing change and solving problems in a complex technical environment.

Bonus points for:

  • Familiarity with Azure services, security, and integration patterns.
  • Experience defining D365 security roles and permissions.
  • Understanding of Data Lake or other data platforms.
  • Experience working in Agile teams and with ITIL principles.
  • A degree in a technical subject and/or Microsoft certifications.

This role offers a chance to take ownership, work on interesting projects, and grow with a supportive team that values good design and doing things the right way.
