Role: Chief Product Officer

Location: London (Hybrid)

Benefits: Up to £70,000 + more

Currently on the lookout for a CPO with strong senior product management experience to join an exciting software development company based in London in order to scale the team.

They are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and has an eye for detail who will be able to come in and take charge of the effective integration of a wide range of delivery components within the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Exploring new avenues for product and service expansion.
  • Initiating the implementation of fresh features, involving the creation of comprehensive functional development specifications, collaboration on technical specifications, conducting pre-release testing, and contributing to the preparation of release notes and Help updates.
  • Vigilantly overseeing and actively participating in the management of the product production environment, ensuring the development, testing, and release of new features adhere to acceptable parameters established with the SLT (senior leadership team).
  • Collaborating closely with the CTO to deliver regular updates that enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Participating in training sessions for consultants, sales teams, and partners on new releases.
  • Playing a role in the development of documentation, including end-user guides and help systems.
  • Generating and sustaining meaningful standard demo data.
  • Engaging in pre and post-sales interactions for significant bids, as well as with strategically valued customers and partners.
  • Providing input into the development of chargeable services.
  • Assuming day-to-day management responsibility for the Support Lead/Manager and other technical staff not involved in development.
  • Collaborating with Consultants, when necessary, to offer advanced 2nd line support.

Required skills:

  • Proficiency in fundamental accounting and business principles.
  • Familiarity with other accounting software solutions such as SunSystems or those employing a combined/unified ledger model would be beneficial.
  • Demonstrated experience and comprehension of underlying technologies, including relational database design, APIs, query processing and management, SQL, automation, AI, etc.
  • Proven expertise in contemporary user experience design.
  • Experience collaborating with clients at a senior level.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities.
  • Confident and excellent communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft and Google office productivity solutions, with a particular emphasis on advanced usage of Microsoft Excel and common business intelligence query frameworks.
