Principal PHP Developer (Laravel)
Location: West Yorkshire (Hybrid)
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000

An established eCommerce business is seeking a Principal PHP Developer on a permanent basis to take ownership of technical delivery across its platform. You’ll be hands-on with Laravel, while also guiding a distributed development team to deliver clean, scalable code.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and review high-quality PHP/Laravel code
• Lead daily stand-ups, unblock devs, and drive team velocity
• Review and mentor junior/mid-level developers
• Coordinate with offshore teams
• Oversee deployment processes across AWS, DigitalOcean, or Azure
• Support performance tuning and DB optimisation (MySQL, MS SQL)

• PHP, Laravel

Ideal Experience

• Strong full-stack PHP experience Laravel.
• Background in high-volume eCommerce or SaaS environments
• Confident leading agile workflows and code reviews
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, production-critical setup.
